What are some types of dances that need to be done with a partner?
i wana do a duet with someone and i’m deciding on the type of dance and the music. any ideas?
Foxtrot, waltz (slow and Viennese), tango (all three types), quickstep, the various swing types, ballroom-type samba, cha cha, mambo, rumba, bolero, paso doble, hustle, polka, Texas two step, Schottische, and a host of regional dances.

Waltz, tango, jitterbug…pretty much any kind of ballroom, swing, West Coast swing, and Latin. You’ve got a lot of room for maneuverability.

Pretty much any dance. I’ve seen hip hop, tap, ballet, lyrical and modern duets. Just pick whichever one you like most and go with that!
